Isamu Noguchi, born in Los Angeles in 1904, was a sculptor, designer, architect and a craftsman. This Japanese-American industrial designer has worked on numerous extraordinary range of projects including playgrounds, plazas, gardens, furniture and many more.
His famous Noguchi table is a perfect balance between art and furniture. He created this distinctive table by 'joining a curved, wood base with a freeform glass top'.

It is named after the summer house E 1027, “Maison en bord de mer”, that Eileen Gray built for herself and for her collaborator, Jean Badovici. Likewise, the secret code-name comes from her: E is for Eileen, 10 for Jean (J is the 10th letter of the alphabet), 2 for B(adovici) and 7 for G(ray).
